I was using prime earlier to test for stability and from what i can tell it is been running at this speed for 1 week anyways simply had more pressing issues on the computer at the time
Anyways to the point about 1 hour into testing Asus Pc Probe starts bleeping sending me a warning that my motherboard temp is too high
Now i gather that its probably innaccurate but it was reading 115 degrees
now even if it is innaccurate if it was 30 degrees out it would still worry me
Strange thing is once i had turned prime95 off the temperature didnt drop at all, The CPU temp returned to idle but the motherboard remained about 115 C, yet when i turned off and on half an hour later it now reads 20 degrees for the motherboard
So either the program is wildy innaccurate and doesnt read temps correctly at all Or my motherboard is becoming a BBQ
Can anyone advise me is it safe? Any different programs i can use to monitor temperature on the chipset/motherboard
