chkdsk hell (or how do i stop it running)

i day or so ago i had a program crash tell me it had to run chkdsk, and since then ive been in chkdsk hell,
when i start the machine it run's chkdsk, fixes a error then reboots the machine. then runs chkdsk again. it keep doing this unless i "press a key" to stop chkdsk wheni first starts.

what i need to know is there some file i can edit to stop chkdsk running at all

chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process...would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts?

Sorry about that, yes as TrUz says let it run at next bootup.
