How long does this thing take?

Its on verifying file data.

Its been running for some time.

Is it reading the entire contents of the disk (data etc) and checking it?

If so, no wonder it takes so long... 200Gb or more of data.

Yea it checks everything, sit back and watch the numbers go up and up

can take from 20 mins to half a day sometimes.

The /r option performs a full recovery so in theory will check the entire disk regardless of data so will take a fair bit of time.
