how on earth do i make decent chocolate brownies?

ive just made some with some awful brownie mix from tesco, there not THAT bad but there no where near as good as the sort of things you can buy from cake shops

any easy mixes that make nice fat brownies? or any way of making them without a mix?

strange question i know but i love chocolate brownies :D

Very good brownies are the best thing ever, the more dense the chcolate is the better. 1 block of dark chocolate per cm is what you should be going for. :)

When Swimbo69 isn't looking I'll steal her recipe. I warn you though, it's about 3 bars of dark chocolate, a whole block of butter, 3 eggs and about 4 tablespoons of flour so if it's healthy brownie you're looking for this ain't it :D

No syrup

It has to have syrup in it. For that moist sticky consistency. My recipes back at my parents and I don't make them often enough to remember.

And it has to have chopped walnuts in as well.

To be honest I've never used a recipe when making brownies, just chuck in lots of butter, syrup, sugar, eggs, chocolate (and cocoa powder), chopped nuts and a bit of flour and it always seems to turn out fine to me :)
