Hi all.

Not visited for a while, but building a new PC and need some advice about monitors.

I'm currently looking around, and am trying to decide between a 20" monitor (with a 3000:1) ratio or a 22" monitor (with a 2000:1) ratio.

Basically, i'm wondering if its worth sacrificing the 1000 off the contrast ratio for the bigger monitor.

The 22" i'm looking at is the Asus VW222S ( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-009-AS )

And the 20" 's i'm looking at are these:
Samsung SM-206BW - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-051-SA&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=948

Samsung SM-2032BW Pebble - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-063-SA&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=948

I'm aware that they may not be "the best" monitors, but i'm trying to stick to a budget of about £180 max for a monitor. Although, if are there better alternatives to those then i'd be glad to hear about them :)

Thanks for any advice :D

I'm intending to use it for Eclipse / NetBeans (java programming), Dreamweaver / Photoshop, and then i'd like to be able to play games on it. So I like the multi window options of the 22", as it'd enable me to have a couple of apps on the screen simultaniously.

Thanks for your advice.
