choice of 939 3700 or opteron 148

going to buy cpu tomorrow , it is going in an asrock dual sata II board with my 9800 pro , have not got enough to buy graphics aswell
which chip would be the best buy for this board , if i can overclock on this board i will and is anyone running either of these two combinations would they share the best bios setting they have got with me also

OCWBeta2 on stock volts and temps are about 27c idle and 35c load

Think I will have to try that 1. Tried beta 1 and was not impressed. Seemed to screw up the bios settings. If I could get to 290HTT I would be happy to stop there. Will try it over the weekend.

in my opinion the opteron 148 is the best to buy of the both

Have a 165 and 146 which are fine on this board. The 148 will most likely clock better. To run higher than 270 HTT you will have to as nightstalker has, use the beta 2 bios which gives you more room to play with. The board tops out at 270 HTT with standard bios.
