Which should i choose out of these :

D-Link DI-524 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router

Linksys WRT54GC 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router

Belkin F5D7230UK4 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router

Netgear WGR614 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router

Cheers guys :)

Generally stay away from D-link and Belkin. So that leaves Linksys or netgear. I just ordered the 108mbs range max today so i can at least let you know what i think of that router if you were intrested in it.

More FUD,never had any problems with Belkin gear over the years.

Of the choices you listed I would take the Linksys WRT54GC 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router ,however my personal favourite is the BELKIN N1 wireless router(rock solid, easy to setup, very good wireless range),not many companies offer lifetime warranty.

I'd go with a WRT54GL over a WRT54GC, purely because the GC won't run any of the third-party firmware.

Ever had that specific model? I had 3 (until I gave up returning them to Belkin to get another lemon) and they were all crap...

id second that. in many ways, my older linksys wrt54g with dd-wrt firmware is far more flexible than the wrvs-4400n wireless-n router i bought to replace it.

you may want to look at the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54, its nice and compact, has a built in amplifier for better wireless and will 3rd run party software.

I'm running mine with the Tomato firmware and its very stable.

Just because one person gets a working wireless doesn't mean they are briliant. And likewize just because 1 person gets a bad one doesn't mean they are bad.

But when many people get bad ones then they are unreliable and not worth the risk when there are many other very good if not better routers.

Do not be so quick to disregard what others say when you have only your personal views to support it.

As stated the Linksy is good and well i cant help you as my netgear has yet to arrive from ocuk

WRT54GL > * :) for £41 you're getting a router that can be unlocked with far more advanced features than most home routers provide at more than twice the price.

I have the WRT54G v2 in the past but DDWRT etc were not very stable on it because the early models had a miniscule amount of memory - the new models are more robust and stable.

I have used many routers in the pass, netgear etc...you seem to forget I did recommend the Linksy on his list,I can disregard what others say,if I guy asks me to walk over an edge of a cliff you want me to do it?

I based my opinion on experience not FUD or what other people say.
