I had a problem where I couldnt get display on my PC which turned out to be the PSU, so I RMA'd that.

Some people may know im getting horizontal lines in games which my friend doesnt get with my GPU in his house.

Tried my monitor at his house, no lines.
Tried his PSU, still got lines.

Tried his ram, still got lines.

Also tried a lot of different cables.

so now only mobo is left to check, although i got a choice now what to upgrade

Send off the mobo or buy a new one ?

Upgrade CPU from Phenom II 555 X2 to a quad ?
Gonna keep ram, its fine.
Upgrade GPU ? GTX460 768MB.

Forgot to mention, I dont get any lines on onboard gpu but I do while my GPU is connected. I tried at friends house and he got no lines as previously stated. surely has to be the mobo that causes problems ?

You think a quad CPU would be a bigger performance booster over a new GPU ?

Its worth sending it then if not accepted buy a new one.

Mind you I would be sick of RMAs now if I were you. What upgrades would you be looking at getting to replace the 555 and the 460 756mb
