Ok to put it simply should I go for 590gtx= less heat one card and little cheaper and comes with a free gaming mouse however have an tendency to explode and slightly slower than the alternative OR
2 580gtx SLI= faster but produce more heat and take up more room draw more power...

Really stumped with this one...

ANY advise would be helpful or an alternative...

p.s. Gaming on 24 AND 30inch (not together though ofcourse lol)
 
Hmm down the line I might be getting 2 more 24 inch benQ monitors and using them for gaming and the 30inch for movies Hence thought I might as well get the extra as I have the cash at moment...

Get two 580's or save yourself an absolute fortune and get msi frozr III 6950 xfire for £399.98 and send me 1 of the Dirt 3 vouchers for saving you bucket loads of cash.
 
I have had about three times as much Nvidia cards than Ati ones over the years as I used to be an Nvidia diehard, but I saw the light a few years ago and now I always buy best bang for buck. IMHO I could not say there was any difference between drivers, they both can have issues at times.
