Hi,

I have this motherboard (well once it's delivered):
Gigabyte P35 DQ6 rev 1.0 (DDR2)

and I'm looking to get a Quad Core Processor, however as memory prices are cheap and I'm in S-o-T next week I think I'm going to pick up the memory and hard-drive next.

I've had a look and I'm looking at the following:

OCUK (2x1GB) DDR2 PC8500 1066MHz - £46.99

Geil 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC6400 800MHz (Ultra Low Latency) - £35.24 (Or £40 next week)

OCUK 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC6400 800MHz - £82.24

I'm going to, ideally, get 4GB so chances are it would be 2xGeil / etc.

Does anyone have any opinions on which to get (doesn't have to be any of the above) - going to be running Vista 64 Ultimate.

Don't mind it being a little more expensive than those listed above.

Thanks,

M

The timings are pretty much the same as the branded memory. Most 2x1gb PC8500 kits are 5-5-5-15, as are most 2x2gb PC6400 kits.

The only downside is the lack of lifetime warranty that you get with most branded memory.
