Choices for Monitor upgrade path

Hi all

Currently running 3x Iiyama Prolite E2473HDS for 5760X1080 60hz gaming off GTX1080, one monitor is failing..

Im looking at going down the 1440/144 route on a 27/28 inch screen, possibly a Dell 2716DG or similar but am now also attracted to Ultra Wide route or possible 4k.

I really enjoy gaming on a my triple-screen and find it very hard to go back to a single 24 but perhaps thats due to using it for 6+ years.

How much system grunt do i need to go down the Ultra wide route ? with/without gsync, the extra resolution etc or is my system in my sig capable ?

I play a variety of games, PUBG, Battle Field franchise, Eve online, Star citizen, Elite Dangerous and Most Blizz games etc, but i probable lean more to the FPS style genre more

Basically i am unsure of even what route to take for the best apart from moving on from 24" 1080p

What do you guys think ?

What model ultra wide was you using before and now ?

They are very nice from images I've seen, unfortunately I've not seen one in the flesh. I am hoping that the only store near me has one on display this weekend to take a look at before deciding anything as the price of some models is a little off putting.

What features would you find a necessity on an ultrawide screen ? I've no experience of G or Freesync nor anything above 60hz
