Choices - your help required

Background info: Im 20, driving for 3 years with various cars and have enjoyed the Pug 106 the best.

Choices (in price order):

- Saxo VTR, 52plate, 25k, 1 lady owner. £4.5k
- Focus 1.4 CL, 03plate, 30k, 1 lady owner. £5.5k
- Streetka 1.6 Luxury, 04plate, 20k, 1 lady owner (hairdressers car?). £8k
- 306 Cab 1.8 SE, 01plate, 40k, 2 previous owners. £8k

What would you choose? Im kind of leaning towards the rather overpriced VTR as it would suit my needs and isnt too much of a price difference from my current car. I like the look of the Focus tbh - might skip this one though as it is abit too much of a basic model for me.

Others are a wee bit out of my wanted price range - but i could stretch if i wanted to. Which i kinda do. That streetka is nice, but how much of a woman would i be if i bought that?

Help guys/gals :)
 
They dont have to be - it was a selection from a local gaff as i wanted to view a few cars. The focus has grown on me to be honest but i realise the CL was pretty damn basic - didnt appear to have remote central locking either.

Im looking around on autotrader at the moment - think my main choices are the VTR (possibly a little too "boy-racer" ish for me though), and the focus. Not necessarily the ones above - but they are ones i am quite interested in.
 
You need a Focus, but you need a 2.0 Zetec NOT a 1.4 CL.

The 2.0 Zetec is cheap to insure, despite the engine size, and reasonably quick, despite the performance figures. It's a good choice if you want a small car.
 
I believe the 1.4 Focus is underpowered, and as for the Ka... I don't think I'd want to spend £8k on one :)

For £8k you should be able to get a far superior Focus tho...

the wife likes the ka

saxo = boy racer
306 cab erm yea why not, still a bit to much £££ maby.




edit Saxo = boy racer if tinted windows and bean can exhaust. if standard nice small car

if your longing for cabs why not go for the mx5 :D great little car, much more fun that the rest of thouse ones on your list :D and the street Ka isn't nice, its totally rubish, leaks like mad, is way over priced and looks just damn silly with the top up!


actually having said that if this is a regular occurance i'd gladly have one:
