Not sure whether to get an Akasa Eclipse or a Thermaltake Armour.. Any advice? I was going for the armour with the 250mm fan and replacing the resistor so it runs at 15,000 RPM.

lol it's doable, and I'm sure if i fan controlled it i could keep the noises down to respectable levels

((pi * ((125 mm) * 125 mm)) * 30 mm) * 1 500 = 78.0077092 cubic feet per minute from one fan :p

Are you sure about the 15kRPM? Is that a theoretical calculation you've done, or is it a mod you've performed before?

I have my doubts that it's possible, but it would certainly be interesting. I reckon it would shake itself to bits even if it was possible.

Anyway - I always recommend the Eclipse 62 if you have the budget for it. It makes the Thermaltake look pretty poor on a realistic comparison in terms of build quality and useful features ie. you get a well made aluminium case with a plastic front. No fans, no flashing lights, no padding, no silicone feet, no fan controllers and definitely no 'bling'. Think of it as a BMW. It does the job with panache and it looks very good, but everything you want to be comfortable costs extra.

I suspect that's faster than a lawnmower  and it would produce hell of a noise and you will need to superglue all you components as they will get blown off.
