Had a e-store let me down on my x2 order
and after waiting forever and being fed lies and bs i got a refund
with uni coming up cash is quite hard to come by for me so now i only have about £200

Basically i want to be able to play cod4 and the like with everything turned up with maybe 2xAA or 4x

my question is would there be much difference between a GTS or a GTX ie worth the extra money seen as i cant afford my x2 now

it will depend on the res you play at, at higher resolutions ,the 8800GTX is faster than the 8800GTS (G92) while at lower resolutions, they are even or just about

i play at 1680 - 1050

any 8800gt card will suit you fine, for 1680x1050, if you wanna get something a bit better youve got the 8800gts option

the problem with the gt is that ive already got a hd3870 so would rather a bit more of an improvement than what 3870 to gt

An 8800GT will play COD4 @ 1680 x 1050 with x4AA and all settings on full. Well, an OC'd one will, but it's not hard to get 700/1750/1900. You should do that on all of them unless you're really unlucky.

I could play CoD4 with 4xAA at 1920x1080 on my 8800GT perfectly, was at 60FPS 90% of the time.
