Saitek Eclipse, Logitech G5 and an Icemat! :)

Love this combination, the keyboard is one of the best I have ever used and the mouse goes well with the mat.

Another +1 for G15v1, monitor usefull for TS, cpu&gfx temps. Macro keys great for MMO. I had been using a 1st gen MS optical rat untill 2/12 ago. Still getting used to the different shape but is a hell of a lot more responsive.

I settle for nothing but the best.

I got no idea what my keyboard is it came with my Medion PC 6 years ago. My mouse was a fiver from Asda and it's one of these:

.

All are used on top of the finest desk you can buy from Makro.

Logitech G15 v1 - Great keys, good backlight, LCD is very useful, extra keys come in handy.
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 Rev.2 - The best, end of.
Icemat - Had it ages and never felt the need to replace it. Looks the part too.

MX518 (had it since launch, still works good-as-new)
IBM Keyboard (this is the best key-action-board i've ever used)
Q-pad GATE-01 mousepad :D

M$ intelli mouse explorer 4.0 and Dell keyboard, Doesnt matter what you use, if you have skill in the game you play youll own, i dont use any fancy mats or mouse and still remian at the top of maps!

I prefer the MX510 series or currently a G5 for the shape and buttons, but tbh any high quality gaming mouse will do. Its really to do with what you fell comfortable with. I would avoid a mouse that has a set 2000 dpi tho as it can be too fast.

I havent read the hole thread but I did notice people saying a keyboard wasnt nessacery. This is true to some degree, however a quality one is as Ive gone from a saitek to a standard cheap keyboard and I h8 it. The buttons very unsensitive in comparison.

Saiktek Eclipse and Razer Copperhead.

Fast reponses ment everything.

Still from their release days. I played FPS mostly. Specially for compititions.

Now it's mostly strat games and the occasional rpg. So very hard to get a decent rpg to
rival the fallout and baldur's gate series though. :(

I use a MX310. Very small but I love it. The skates have nearly completely gone though and replacements from those gaming websites don't seem to do the trick for me

As for my keyboard its just a plain MS one after my old wireless logitech packed up

i use the saitek eclipse 2 much like other forum members, i find it comfortable to use, the backlighting tbh isnt that great in low light but the keys are soft and responsive. The media buttons ive never used once.

My current mouse for gaming is a Microsoft Habu, its my first mouse which has on the fly sensitivity and to be honest it took quite some getting used too as its ultra sensitive at higher DPI's

With a bit of patience tho you cant go back to a standard mouse. you dont realise how handy a twitch sensitive mouse is until you go back to a mates pc and use their mouse and your actually picking it up to see if theres something wrong with it :)

I got the g15 keyboard and the lcd is a god send, given I mainly only display the clock on it but that ensures I limit my gaming and get a good night sleep. Before the g15 I would find myself gaming to 4.00am.

The macro keys are also very useful as is the lock windows key button.
