Afternoon OcUK!

Ok, I like my screen real estate. A lot. WUXGA laptop screens are a stroke of genius in my book, but at the moment my monitors are a typical 1680x1050 on a 22" screen. I'd really like to shift to something that gives more screen real estate, and as such I was thinking of the Samsung SM2343NW - 23" at 2048x1152. EDIT: Damn, just noticed this is analog only, so that's out. Anything else similar available but with DVI?

The crux of the matter is - what do you guys think of either this monitor, or other similar offerings on the market? Experiences and suggestions welcomed!

Thanks.

P.S. I know this is going to make things small onscreen, that's the point :).

I was about to say I'd consider all prices for the right screen, but I think a pair of those would run a bit steep! I guess I'd go up to £200 each for the right screen, although I'd be more expecting to be around the £150 mark.

1920x1080 is the highest resolution you'll get for £150, I'm afraid. I talk about the SM2343BW on my website - it's a similar panel to the NW you looked at but with a DVI-D connector. It is priced at £178.

So... all prices... less than £200. Kinda not really "budget" but also certainly not premium prices... firmly stuck in TN territory. Nothing special.
