Choosing AIO and Case

Looking for advice on what cooling system to run and making sure that fits in to the case, at this point I haven't picked a case or cooling system.

• MB - Asus ROG RAMPAGE V X99 EDITION 10 E-ATX
• CPU - i7-6850K

At this moment I am thinking to go water cooled that is relatively easy to fit (I have fitted AIO in the past) with a view to maybe change out the fans in the AIO to make them run quieter if stock. In terms of the cooler I am looking at the Corsair H115i.

When choosing a case to fit all this, what should I be looking for? I would assume that due to the form factor of the board, a 280mm radiator would fit pretty much all E-ATX capable cases?

I would advise you simply find a case you like (nobody else can tell you that) and see what it accepts, but it obviously needs to be E-ATX compatible for your mobo. There aren't loads that accept E-ATX, but most if not all cases on OCUK will give you the radiator capabilities.

Meh, I don't really rate AIOs to be honest. You're not getting anything that special over top end air coolers from the likes of Noctua or Cryorig, and they are expensive. Why are you going this route? Is it more for the aesthetics? On that front, the NZXT Kraken X62 is a rather nice looking unit, what with the RGB fans and fancy block. You've clearly spent a lot on the mbd/CPU, so why not consider the custom loop route?

Just for ease of installation; I haven't built my own loop before either.

Case wise I like the look of the Be Quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 just don't want issues fitting the radiator.

The NZXT Kraken X62 looks to be a similar cooler but at a fraction of the price?

Air is certainly cheaper! If you like the idea of going custom, your money would be better spent towards that IMO, even if you took some time researching and planning. Otherwise, a top end air cooler will do everything you need and them some! The Noctuas aren't to everyone's taste with their colour scheme (I can't stand it personally), but Cryorig are very close in performance and look much better.

Dark Rock Pro 3 is another, albeit a pig to fit.

Shame Cryorig aren't more widely available in the UK... they don't seem to have many re-sellers oddly or even much presence in the marketplace, but they are excellent coolers.
