Choosing between 2070 Super cards

Hi all

Advice welcome - which of these would you choose?

I've heard good things about the Jetstream. But I'm thinking the Gigabyte has some fairly good advantages which justify the extra few quid:
  • 4 year warranty
  • Based in the UK
  • USB-C port on the card
  • 3 fans, so hopefully runs cooler and quieter
Any thoughts on whether I'm barking up the wrong tree? And if there's another card you'd think a better choice, feel free to suggest. Although I'd rather stick to nVidia as I have a GSync monitor.

I would go for the Gigabyte card as it has 2 extra years warranty, I think 2 years is a little low for a card costing that much.

I would want a minimum of 3 years, I have just bought a 2080 Super and that is coming with 3 years warranty.

Palit's coolers are really good (and deceptively huge), so I'd actually expect that to be the cooler/quieter card. The two year warranty is a real kicker though. I'd probably go for the Gigabyte one for that reason, along with the UK-based RMA.

Hi there

Palit is quietest and coolest.
Gigabyte has 4yr (gaming OC) vs 2yr warranty.

I'd personally buy a Jetstream card as they are just so good, but the Gigabyte card is also very good too.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet deals from OcUK! :)

I just went to google to research this, came back here to refresh this sub forum and this thread appeared. Trying to decide on which 2070S myself. If I order now, I could be playing Skyrim heavily modded at more than 30FPS tomorrow :D

2 fans vs 3 fans and sell on value due to 2 years more warranty surely wins it for the Gigabyte.
There's no inherent advantage to having more fans - it's entirely about the design of the heatsink underneath. MSI used to exclusively make dual-fan cards and their coolers still whipped almost all of the competition. As you can see here, with their 1080 Ti Gaming X comfortably beating tri-fan models from EVGA, Gigabyte and Zotac:

Cards with two fans also generally have larger fans that move more air whilst spinning slower. It's no reason at all to pick one card over another. The warranty absolutely is though.

We won't be dropping our prices further on the above, that is our BF deals, cards on the table. :)

Even if I ask really really nicely and forego the harribo?

Nope, that is it, competitor undercuts us, that is upto them, we offer superior service and provide customers with a lot more information and a personal touch, which no competitor can come even close too. :)

I have the Gigabyte OC version and I recommend it for the 4 year warranty. The Palit and Gigabyte are are almost exactly the same length. The palit looks to have 2 x 90mm fans whereas the gigabyte has 3 x 82mm fans.

Gigayte should arguably equal or exceed the Palit at cooling.

Cheers everyone. :)

I have two purchases to make around now - the GPU, and a Noble Hero. So I'm just waiting for the latter to (hopefully) have a sale price appear, and I can bite the bullet.

Oh, also hoping in the meantime that nVidia add a freebie to replace CoD. Fingers crossed!

Glen has published his noblechairs deals, check the deal forum, they are like nearly £100 saving I think, go look. :)

You don't need a chair!! When you get your 2070Super you will be spending too much time in VR to sit down :p
Heheh. Getting so close to getting this GPU and having my headset working at last now! :D

Gibbo - No deal showing on the chair I'd set my heart on. I have a CS thread already open, so I'll ask in that if there's any chance of helping me out. Fingers crossed again! Thanks for your help in this thread. :)
