Building my first gaming PC and got an rx 6800. Will do my best to pair it with zen 5600x.

I don't have any clue about what monitor would be the best. My budget is around £300-350. Hoping to get some good deals on Black Friday.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Hey, the RX 6800 can run current games, and probably for at least 2-3 years in the future, in 1440p at high refresh rates 120+ FPS (especially paired with Zen 3 Ryzen like the 5600x), so I would definitely get a 27" 1440p 144Hz monitor. Something like the LG 27GL850-B 27" 2560X1440 NANO IPS 144HZ 1MS FREESYNC/G-SYNC (on sale for 349.99 on OCUK).

You can get a 1080p monitor, but this card is almost too powerful for 1080p gaming. Personally, I play competitive games on a 24" 1080p 144hz 1ms Display. As I think this is the best setup for games like CS:GO or Dota 2. The Rx 6800 will blow 1080p away and probably get 240+ FPS in competitive games for many many years.

The Rx 6800 is also rated to play at 4k at 60FPS with some of the current games. Although, I personally don't think this is a 4k card for games coming out in 2 years + time. It would run games in 4k, but it depends if you mind playing under 60FPS.
