Hello guys. I am building a new system based on asus rog strix x570-e and 5900x. I could not find a samsung b-die ≥3600mhz 2x16gb ram in stores in my country. I probably only have two alternatives.

1) Crucial Ballistix BL2K16G36C16U4BL ---- 16-18-18-38, ((micron e-die (dr) or b-die (sr) by chance ??)). its cheaper

2) G.Skill Trident Z F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC ---- 16-19-19-39 hynix. I don't know if its dual or single rank

The crucial one probably has better timinigs but may have a single rank as a worst case scenario.

There is also an alternative. Crucial Ballistix 2 * 32 gb BL2K32G36C16U4BL. This is probably the dual rank micron e-die, but its price and capacity are overkill for me.

Which one would you choose?

Thanks for reply.

By the way, I found F4-3200C14D-32GVK in stock. G-skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200MHz CL14-14-14-34 1.35V 32GB (2x16GB).

Would you prefer this to crucial one?

Do you want 16GB or 32 GB?

BL2K16G36C16U4BL is the only 16GB kit in the discussion.

BL2K32G36C16U4BL is a better choice than F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC, IMHO. Both 32GB, obviously.

F4-3200C14D-32GVK is the best kit here, but I'm guessing it's the most expensive.

Actually I want 2X16 gb because of the price.

BL2K32G36C16U4BL 2x32 (64gb). The other 3 rams are 2x16 (32gb).

The reason for my indecision is that BL2K16G36C16U4BL, which is 2x16 GB, has a probability of being single rank. But it has better timings than hynix F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC.

F4-3200C14D-32GVK, which I found later, is samsung b-die, its timings are very good. However, I would like to pull this memory to at least 3600 mhz in order to sync with infinity fabric in ryzens. But I am not sure if I can make stable oc at 3600 mhz. I had read something like the frequency overclocking with 3200 MHz kits is limited.

BL2K32G36C16U4BL 2x32 (64gb) is another matter. Unlike the 2x16 gb crucial, they are all dual rank micron b-die. Although not as good as samsung b-die it has good timings. it is 2 * 32 GB so its future-proof. but its price is almost twice the others.

Sorry, I've messed up my code reading for 32gb and 16gb kits.

F4-3200C14D-32GVK is better than Crucial on paper, but more expensive.

There is never a guarantee, but a 3200 CL14 kit should equally run at 3600 CL16... 3200 CL14 is shorter latency than 3600 CL16, implying better quality silicon... In reality they are the same.

If it makes you feel better, I bought 3200 CL14 8Pack rather than the 3600 kit because it was cheaper. It has been confirmed the chips are binned together and just have different XMP profiles programmed.

If you want to understand B-die memory them you must read this thread:

Actually that 3 rams with 2x16gb are at similar prices. Considering what you said, I ordered F4-3200C14D-32GVK from amazon germany.

Thank you for your help.

BL2K16G36C16U4BL, im running 4 sticks of this, 32gb, 1.45v, 3800mhz 16-19-16-16-36-56-1T-GDM enabled, sold my G.Skill Trident Z Royal Silver's to buy this stuff, and love it.
