Choosing the right card

hi guys just wondering what the best card will be for my computer its:

AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2Ghz
2Gb of Ram
etc.

atm it only has on board graphics and i just want something to use for 6 months or so, so fairly cheap would be nice..

however i only have a 250 watt PSU will that restrict the card i can buy?

yes PSU is limiting it a bit, also what do you want it for? games, films,etc?

bit of everything really i dont realy play any demanding games but it would be nice to play some newer games.

I do small amount of editing only photo though. I ll probibly watch DVD's occasionally, so on the whole just a card that will be decent enough to last me 8-10 months.

i have an x1950pro and although not high end, is good enough for modern games on a medium setting. They only cost around £50 now (I bought it around 4 months ago for nearly double! )

what about a 7600GT will that run on 250watt? its a good price and it has had few decent reviews.
