Hi guys,

I would like some advice when it comes to upgrading my PC some more. I am looking to improve my system but not sure on which component to add or replace.

My current specs are:

Asus Crosshair IV Formula
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
Titan Fenrir heatsink & Noctua fan
Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz 4GB RAM
VTX ATI Radeon HD5770 1024MB DDR5
OCZ Stealth Extreme 600W PSU
Seagate 500GB HDD 7200RPM, 16MB Cache
Antec P183 with two Noctua fans adds up to 4 in total
Toshiba Regza 1080p 32" LCD

Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to upgrade my system?

I was thinking of changing my graphics card to a higher model, but is the 5770 good enough and should I maybe invest in a SSD HDD? They are expensive for the size you get though, thats my only problem.

This system is used for gaming, web development and using image editing programs.

Thanks for the help,

John

+1 for the SSD. Something like a OCZ Vertex 2E or Crucial C300 would be ideal.

Also, as you have a HD 5770, 890FX board and a 600W PSU then imho the best graphics upgrade available is to add a second 5770. This one is on one day offer for £99.99.

So my board will give it good potential having crossfire then? Is 600W PSU ok for xFire?

Does it matter what type of brand you use for the graphics card?

The XFX one on OC has a different look to it than the XFX one on ****?

Also does the SSD prices make it worth while getting even though a 60GB is £100?

Yes that motherboard is great for crossfiring. Its the reason i am getting it :D
I am unsure about the power supply. I don't really know about how much power it uses :)

It doesn't matter what brand you use as long as its the same card. for instance 5770+5770 or 5850+5850.
