Chris Hughton Sacked!

Doing quite a good job?

He's taken a team he finished 11th with last year, spent £24m on it in the summer (9th biggest spenders in the league), added a couple of loaners in January and is now poised for relegation only 5 points clear of the zone with one of the worst end of season fixture lists around.

I don't call that quite a good job, in fact if anything it's surprising he lasted this long.

Just don't know what to think. His brand of football has been awful but I'm not confident this is the right time to do this.

I assume the board are hoping that the 'new manager' effect will see them to victory against Fulham next week. It's certainly a gamble.

As a Norwich fan I'm delighted to see the back of him. Terrible football and a rotten mentality the past two seasons. The players seemed to have no confidence, the fans had none. Went in to every game away beaten. Haven't scored an equaliser for...... Who knows when. We were certainties for relegation with him, at least the fans can go to Fulham with something to hope in.

Chris Hughton's last fourteen games: 13 points
(7 losses, 4 draws, 3 wins. 10 goals for, 20 against)

He's not got the worst record in PL at the moment. NUFC proudly hold that:

Alan Pardew's last fourteen games: 13 points
(9 defeats, 1 draw, 4 wins. 9 goals for, 27 against)

I hoped at the start of the season that they'd get relegated, and I still do.

I think they're stupid to sack him at this time, and I hope it blows up in their face.

I was happy when at the start of the season he said 'I am obsessed with attacking'....A season of being one of the lowest scorers in the league, 4 blanks in the last 5 games, games going by with 1, sometimes 0 shots on target and some very strange substitutions and it is obvious he isn't up to it.
