Hello im having abit of trouble and hope you can help, i got a msi nvidia 470 today and a corsair tx 650, i plugged it all in etc and went to boot up, everything starts spinning, lights come on etc but no display :( i didnt uninstall my old ati drivers before i plugged it in so i put the old gpu back in to do that, and same thing... blank screen.. i think ive plugged it all in, help really really appreciated!!

First thing I'd do is put everything back the way it was. If it works, you know nothing's happened to your core components. Then put in the PSU and test it. If that works, add the vid card.

PS It sounds like the core stuff is ok though. More likely to be a lead missing from the sound of it. I have a dog to walk though. I'm sure someone more useful will be along any time now.
 
Don't worry, you won't have broken anything.

Check all the cables are plugged in correctly- in particular, the power cables. Andrew's right in his testing procedure- first without change, then with new PSU, then with new video card.

Check the system building sticky if you're not 100% on where things should go.
 
right, took the ram out put back in rebooted and yay it works again back upto 4gb and rocking a 470 cheers guys crysis over now let the gaming commense :D
 
Just a tip, if you change something like a GPU from ati to Nvidea un-install old drivers, but also clear the Cmoss as well saves a lot of trouble after you have installed the card.
