Unfortunately I have to work Christmas EVE nights this year and as we have decided to watch just Christmas movies that night to get in the mood.

What good Christmas movies are there?

So far we have:

Scrooged
Muppets Christmas Carol
Gremlins
Die Hard
Christmas Vacation
Various versions of Christmas Carol

Any others that you can think of that are set at Christmas time?

Has to be the Patrick Stewart version of A Christmas Carol

Home Alone is always a good one (I quite like the second)

Merry Christmas Mr Bean - not a film but has to be watched

Die Hard 2 - if that isn't Christmassy enough then what is?

Some of my favourites:

Holiday Inn
White Christmas
A Christmas Carol
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
Joyeux Noel
Scrooged
A Christmas Story
The Grinch

I was going to add a few then saw simulatorman's list!

I agree with the Die Hard 1 & 2 and Gremlins, three of my favourite 'christmas' films :D

Cliffhanger :p

Not even remotely christmassy, but for some reason became a Xmas eve film, I think up till a couple years ago it was on for 6-7 years in a row.

Scrooged is by far the best Christmas film around though, and I think for the first time in as long as I can remember wasn't on last year :(

The Santa Clause
Home Alone 1+2
Elf
Nightmare Before Christmas
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story

Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Frosty the Snowman
Here Comes Santa Clause

And don't forget the classics: The Star Wars Holiday Special and Raging Rudolph. :D
