Hey guys - can anyone suggest a good quality case thats quite cheap and has an abundance of lights fans etc - i am building my 10 year old son his first pc for xmas and as you can imagine 10 year olds love over the top pc cases .

i have around 70 pounds to spend - thanks

You will want something that is reasonably sturdy aswell then.

Antec Super Lanboy, cathodes, LED fans, LED PSU, LED cooler, cables that blink with data transfer...

All within the £70 case budget, and all very good. Don't forget the light up case badge aswell, and the disco ball.

Wow, think im going to throw up, but would be a killer case for bling, and well within the money you have said. Also not the end of the world if the case gets scratched accidentally, which is important at that age going by what I was like.

What you think to that idea?

Completely over the top!

Oh and light up case feet...

I think its the best gaming case under £200, well built, good cooler, can look the part although it only comes with the one LED fan.

Worth buying some new LED fans maybe. All easily done within budget thankfully. :)

Hey Unionjack where abouts in Rossy are you?.

I'd go along with the Lanboy idea, Seems like a decent case for the money. If your getting cathodes then sound activated ones would be cool for a 10 yo :) .

Its a bit early to be thinking about Christmas isn't it?, if you build it now its just asking to be found :D .

To get best ideas, just ask a chav lol.

No seriously, I remember what i was like when I was 10, err I think anyway, the more flashing blinking lights the thing had, the better :)

Second thought, make sure you use a light up fan controller, only on the case fans mind so nothing can get damaged. :)

The Lanboy can easily handle a high end rig with 5V fans, but something else to make the PC more fun and cool! :)

lol Mark, i dont want to spend too much, about £30 at the most could stretch to £40 but dont really want to spend that! what you think of this case...
No competitor talk please!

wow i didnt realise i was breaking the rules! sorry :)

i just wanted to see what you thought because i have no idea and dont want to be ripped off :(
What is the name of the case you linked to?,you cant name or link to competitors but you can name the case. With that budget id recommend the super lanboy or the Akasa Zen seems to be a pretty good case for the money. The Antec SLK3000B is also worth a look if you don't want the gaming case look.

The Zen and Lanboy are both several times nicer than the case you linked to.

At one point I have owned them all, the Zen and Lanboy are in a different league.

Coke Can V Armoured Car for construction is probably the best comparisson I can make.
