I need to get a laptop for my daughter. She games a bit, not often. I think light and 15" is better than big. I transitioned to an XPS 15" years ago and thought it was great - so I'm inclined to go there. But people seem to recommend the Lenovo Legion. Im not sure whether to spend say 1,200 or 1,500. I don't want to be extravagant, but I guess its worth stretching if the value is better. Would anyone like to offer any advice or opinions?

Thank you.

When you say she games, what does she play?

What would be priority for her?

I suspect she’ll probably want something thin and light as opposed to a gaming laptop, with a good screen, speakers and battery life.

Now seems to be a good time to look at the Dell models with their black Friday deals, some of their Inspiron series are currently running 3060 6gb 60w models for very decent money and in budget vs the XPS 15 9510 (Which I have) which is a slightly lower powered 45w 3050ti though is quite capable of running anything I throw at it.

Thank you. I will take a look at Dell and the Legion slim. I think thin and light is indeed the way to go. She is not big on games - tends to go in phases - Sims, Minecraft sometimes.
