Been thinking of getting a new KB and Mouse for Chistmas for myself rather than the £5 Tesco one ;)

What do you guys think?

I don't really want to spend over £160 at a max. Also I will be gaming and typing in the night so don't want something that makes a racket ;) And I use a finger tip style of playing. Hoping this will last me a few years.
 
Definitely get a mechanical keyboard. Which one, I'll leave to you.

Looks like you have made a good choice in both mouse & keyboard departments :) my Blackwidow is currently in RMA land, so using a horrible cheapo one and I miss my mech :(
 
I've never used a Mech one but I've hard good things about them and I wan it to last a while. I've been looking at the switches and Brown seems to do the best of both worlds but they are also more expensive :(
 
Yeah i've been looking for other keyboards, my Razer Blackwidow Ultimate wasn't as hardy as it was made out to be, one of the LEDs gave out on one of the keys, and I fancied a change from the blue switch. Going to try out Browns if I can get them, once I've sold on the returned new one.

You will never want another keyboard once you've tried mechanicals. The difference for me is night and day, especially when typing 2000+ lines of code a day. My old squidgy keyboard wouldn't have lasted my first year of university!
 
How did you find the Blue Switch and will you be selling it? ;)

Its a shame OcUK don't offer a testing service as I would hate to buy the KB and have to return it because I didn't like it :(
