So its black friday, yes its that time of the year again...
I am looking at PC upgrades which i have bottled the last few times, but i am going for it this time round as ive already ordered the case (Phanteks Enthoo Luxe for £95 BARGAIN).
I am stuck what i should do as i am unsure of my budget to be honest... Its my present from my mam and dad and I think i have like 400 ISH maybe 450 tops (minus 95 so £355) and was looking for upgrades for my PC in some shape or form...
The PC will be on my desk, as i am overall wanting to beef up my gaming setup and hence, i want it to look good, and quiet... My reference 290 sounds like a hairdryer when things get hot!
For christmas, off family i will have around £200, and after selling my current PC bits n bobs, ill have around £400 ISH, so im going to try and stagger this build in 2 stages, £350 now, £400 ISH later.
I am interested in watercooling, but on my current rig, im not sure what is best.
Also, my current specs are:
AMD 8320 @stock (had it at 4.4 before heat made me turn it down, idk what was going on)
Corsair H100 (just noticed a couple of bent fins as i got it B-Grade)
MSI 990FXA-GD65 motherboard
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz
Sapphire REFERENCE R9 290
Corsair CX750M
I play on the LG 29UB65-P which is 2560x1080
I was looking at either upgrading system wise, or going down the wet route and watercooling the rig.
If i go for system upgrades, I am currently edging towards getting either the 5820k or 6700k (I can get them both cheap, price on the CPU's is irrelevant) but the X99 motherboard prices put me off.
ORRR getting a 980 or if i can squeeze it out of my dad, a 980Ti.
Basically what i am asking is what route i should take, all things considered, and the pros and cons of each option..
My game library is quite open at the minute, and I am currently in the hunt for new games to play so dont base it off anything
Mostly WoW, Battlefield 4 at the minute but getting quite bored. Any ideas on games lads
Just give me some ideas as im at a standstill, but im defiantly getting the upgrades, its decided lol!
