Chrome 60fps Issue

Whenever I try to play a video at 1080p 60fps on Chrome, it freezes and lags but the audio continues to play. It plays fine at 720p 60fps, and I doubt my internet is an issue as I get around 160mbps down. Any ideas? My GPU is a Radeon HD 6850 running the latest driver and I have a Core i7 4790k as my CPU. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

I had this issue when I briefly trialled Chome. Strange really as You Tube is a Google owned site.....

Also You Tube has gone HTML5 by default, so you shouldn’t be having this issue any more.

In other words... I can't help. :p

So you (one person) link one that's broken and save us (the whole forum) having to search for some on youtube. People are lazy and you are the one asking for help. So link something that is known to be broken for you and people can test and verify.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be either a broken plugin issue or AMD video drivers sucking ass.

chrome://plugins/ to disable all plugins EXCEPT "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\40.0.2214.111\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll"
chrome://extensions/ to disable all extensions.

Tested Totalbiscuits videos at 1080 fullscreen 60. All fine here with an Nvidia card. As someone said Youtube has moved to the HTML5 player now so the pepflashplayer is only called for some legacy content and shouldn't be an issue anyway. The external flash player that you may have installed should be disabled or uninstalled for testing.

I disabled the adobe flash player built in to chrome and it seems to have fixed the problems - should I just leave it disabled?

If Chrome now works how you want it to, sure.

As I said though, that video should not even be using the flash plugin. When you right click the movie, it should give info about the HTML5 player.

It does - so why it wouldn't work with the plugin enabled I don't know, but anyway it seems to be working now so I'll leave it as it is - thanks for your help :)
