For the last couple of weeks Chrome is causing gpu usage spikes and very occasionally I see tearing/flickering in the browser also, even if I'm not scrolling. I'm using the latest version of Chrome and AMD 13.6 Beta drivers with no overclock.

Seem unique to Chrome because I dont have any issues in games or explorer etc. Anyone else experience this lately?

I get this too with 13.4, 13.6 betas and even 13.8 beta.

In Chrome, go to about:flags and make GPU compositing on all pages "Enabled"

Spikes have completely stopped for me.

I'm seeing this too. Enabled Gpu Compositing and the gpu still spikes. 13.8. Chrome latest stable.
Also Chrome freezes on some webpages, and stays on Processing request if hardware acceleration is enabled in flash settings.
I have disabled it for now, but there's a loss in quality. This is relatively new and hasn't always happened.
