Chrome in Windows 8.1...

...has just suddenly stopped working?! When I try to run it I just get the blue circle for a few seconds and then nothing

I've tried uninstalling/re-installing but its the same. Any ideas?

Make sure you are using the latest version. Or try an earlier version.

It could be an extension or toolbar causing the issue - shame Chrome doesn't have a safe mode like Firefox or IE.

Can you try Chrome in a differnt user account?

May be worth running Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro and Adwcleaner on the off chance that something nasty has got onto the system.

Sounds like malware issue. I would do a virus scan and use Ccleaner. Could be a ext that stuck it's self to the browser.
