Morning, been having problems with Chrome over the past couple of weeks at home. For some reason it will either load Google related sites (search, youtube, gmail etc) or it won't.

I'm typing this in Chrome now, works perfectly, my other open tab is mail.google.com and it's crashed, the same with all other Google related sites. It all works fine in Firefox and Safari and I have no problem with any other sites in Chrome.

It'll do this for a day or 2 then work for a bit, then break.

This has happened on 3 different laptops, 2 Macs and one Windows, in the past few weeks and I have no clue whatsoever why. Trying to find answers is hard because of how generic the problem sounds and it loads results for so many different things.

Anyone any ideas on what might be causing this?

i had an issue with chrome a while ago, not sure it is the same as yours.
it was caused by the sync settings somehow.

in chrome, go to settings, then advanced sync settings, and then i unchecked 'settings'
since then it has been fine so it may work for your issue.

Hi, sorry only just replying to this.

I can't find that setting, I'm not signed into chrome at all so unless it's in there somewhere.

Still having this problem though but mainly with youtube now, other google properties are a little more consistent.

Trying to watch almost any youtube video though, it'll either work right off the bat or it'll play the first couple of seconds and then freeze, load the same one in Firefox and no problem every time.

So annoying.
