Chrome keeps resetting me to use yahoo rather than google.

I have an annoying bug which is driving me nuts, i use chrome for my browser, you can select which search engine to use, i obviously select google but chrome keeps putting it back to yahoo.

Ive gone into the settings, changed it back to google, even deleted yahoo as an option but it keeps going back to it.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I hate yahoo!

are you sure you don't have any yahoo software installed? it seems rather dodgy how it's coming back after you've seemingly removed it. check your programs & features in control panel.

as a last resort you could backup your bookmarks, nuke chrome entirely and try installing it again.

Yeah, i have nothing yahoo installed at all, ive doubled checked.

I may have to do that, its not all the time, its random, i suspect its maybe a particular webpage doing it but i cant figure which!

try chrome portable and see if you have the same issues
