Is it just me? In the last few days, while browsing the forums, Chrome will become unresponsive. If I wait maybe 30 seconds to a minute, it comes back to me. I don't think it happens on other sites.

I don't think I've added any extensions recently. I've checked Chrome is up to date. I've cleared cache and more, but it is still happening.

Just me, or anyone else have this happening to them?

I have an occasional issue on iPhone where a thread page doesn’t fully render and the browser becomes partially unresponsive (back button doesn’t work amongst other things). I usually have to go through a process where I have to go to another site or two and then back again to clear it. Not found a definitive pattern to it but the pages where I have a problem always seem to have embedded twitter posts on them.

Had similar problems on Chrome last few days, but not on OCuk, when I've had ~8 tabs open.

same, do you use Pihole? I too have been trying to figure it out, doesn’t happen on my pc, only really happens on iOS

I noticed earlier on that someones signature was triggering my antivirus software.

Maybe Chrome is seeing the same link?

Oh, interesting. I went from here the 'Missing woman' thread and it instantly locked up for 20 seconds or so. Sure enough, scroll up and there's an embedded tweet.

**EDIT** Then went to the 'What movie last night' thread, embedded animated gif and embedded YouTube video... I think the browser had a proper melt down...

make sure ublock origin extension is installed and turned on

sounds likely that it's twitter-related, the number on the ublock icon should increase when you scroll past an embedded tweet
