I thought I'd give Chrome a go as part of my regular look to see what's going on with different browsers and something struck me. Is it me or has something odd gone on with the scroll bar on the right hand side? The arrows for scroll up and down seem to have vanished and the scroll bar itself is a bit of an old style looking thing somewhat narrower than normal.

It works fine but just looks a little odd to me, Google trying to avoid using Windows standard controls maybe, although not sure why, the new scroll bar looks somewhat of a step backwards to me. Not a big deal but just caught my eye :)

As an aside, anyone have any experience on how Opera are getting on with their move to webkit? The early version I looked at was awful!

Hmmm, Chrome is starting to feel like much like Firefox before it, it's going downhill in a bid to find a reason to keep updating. It's feeling like it's losing is quick, clean and light advantage to me. In my current round of trying stuff out it's still OK but it's lead over IE11 has narrowed a lot, FF and Waterfox are doing better than in a long time. Safri PC is still pants and the wildcard is still Opera. I always liked the idea of a European based truly platform agnostic independent browser but Opera of old just had too many problems. The new webkit version might be interesting although i'm not sure i'm a huge fan of the stampeded for almost all browsers to be webkit based by default, even Google have branched and dumped it.

Be interesting to see how (if?) IE12 shapes up along with Opera both of which seem to be making major changes in a bid to catch up/reclaim the lead.

I noticed this the other day at work, why on earth would you remove the two little arrows? I can barely make out where the sliderbar is now, anyway to change its colour?

The scroll bar itself has changed though, I have a feeling Google have stopped using standard Windows GUI controls and done their own (presumably based on ChromeOS?)

I used to be an avid Chrome user but over the last few months I've slowly gone off it. For no single big reason, just lots of little ones like this.

Couldnt agree more, google is losing it

I wish opera would sort itself out, i tried the new one and not being able to have bookmarks was a joke, firefox is clumsy (or was) never heard of waterfox so will give that a spin.

I'm using IE again but I miss some of the options of Chrome. They're all good and bad in their owns ways really, it's highly subjective.

Really don't like the new scroll bar. Going back to IE for now.

Starting to dislike Google a lot, trying to get me to sign up to Google+ when I don't want to (including You Tube) really annoys me.
