I don't get how Google can make the same browser work so fundamentally different between a tablet and a phone.

The tablet version of Chrome is brilliant. Its like the desktop version and short of allowing Greasemonkey scripts is absolutely spot on. But the phone interface is just... pants. The tab management is clunky, the interface unintuitive with buttons you would want on screen in menus, and it does random things with text scaling. If I view this forum on my phone using Chrome half the text scales to a huge size while other areas of text stay absolutely tiny.

Chrome is basically unusable on my phone. I know you can use root to adjust the dpi of Android to trick it into rendering the Chrome browser in tablet mode, but I don't want to root or mess with the dpi on my phone. Is there any wah to use the tablet interface of Chrome on a phone without root, or any other browsers that are just like Chrome tablet version?

I use Chrome on all my PCs and Laptops, and on my tablet. But my phone is left out.

I use Dolphin now. Its great, except all my bookmarks and settings and stored details are synced between all my other devices on Chrome. My phone sits in its own little bubble :(

Have you tried the Dolphin Chrome extension to sync your bookmarks to it? Although, you need to have the desktop browser to be open to fully sync over to Dolphin...

Opera is better, but if I'm not using Chrome ill just use Dolphin.

Ideally I want to use Chrome but after a couple of days searching it doesn't look possible without root and dpi hacks :(
