I'm looking to get my hands on a Chromebook without spending "too much" cash.
I'm looking for something that will happily run the Office applications, do some web browsing and then also be happy streaming/playing Netflix/Amazon and the like.
I think I'd like something in a 14" format rather than the smaller 11" - for those video viewing moments. Storage I don't think is "that" important, that's why we have the cloud. So I'm guessing 32/64GB. Elsewhere somebody recommended 4GB RAM if possible, although 2GB is enough? As I'm also guessing the majority of Chromebooks cannot be upgraded later, 4GB would make sense.
Screen wise, FullHD would be good, although 720p would be acceptable if there was a major price difference.
Is this possible with a maximum budge of around £300?

Cheers all.

I don't have a chromebook but I am waiting for my pixel c 10' tablet to arrive with keyboard. Bit over budget but worth the discount with the nvidia Tera k1 in it.

A tablet with keyboard may be worth a look as an alternative.

My knowledge of the larger models isn't great as I have the 10" asus c100 which I use daily and am very happy with (swapped my tablet for it), most likely too small for your needs but I definitely recommend getting one which has a touch screen. My partners 13" acer although much more suited for word docs etc, you always want to tap the screen to edit things or browse which ofcourse you can't.

You will also have access to much more android compatible apps in the playstore incase you ever needed one.
