Chromebooks

With the recent arrival of the HP 11 and soon the Acer C720, it is time for me to replace my aging but really great Samsung 5 Chromebook that I have had for more than 2 years and which has been great. I expect my wife will like it.

Any one yet purchase the new Chromebooks and had hands-on experience? The HP 11 at £ 229 looks an awesome buy. Offered at PC World and I expect soon on Amazon, as well as in the Google Play Store.

The HP11 looks great but I worry about performance.
Plenty reported issues with how the Samsung equivalent performs, put me off purchasing the HP.

I think the HP 11 Chromebook looks a worthy purchase, esp after reading this review in ComputerWorld. What do you think?:

Yeah, I like the look of it a lot - very, very tempted by one.

From what I've read performance sounds absolutely fine - Chrome OS seems well optimised, the issues tend to come if you install something else.

my misses has the hp 11 she loves it. All she uses it for is facebook iplayer ect.. so it's perfect for that looks nice also and so far seems to have very good battery life,

I'm pretty tempted to get one for my self for traveling as i am not a fan of phones or tablets
