Chromecast power adapter?

Hi guys,

I was thinking of ordering a chromecast now that there are methods of streaming local media through it. On the play store it states that the dongle comes with an ac adapter, but i have no idea how long google stuff would take to deliver and how much of a nightmare it would be to return a faulty device.

The rainforest has it for the same price but states in description that it does not come with an adapter, which seems odd to me unless they somehow open the box and take it out? My tv is quite old and i am fairly sure it does not have usb (though i will take a look at some point!) but can anyone confirm if they have bought from rainforest and whether they got an AC adapter with it?

Or if direct from google how long did delivery take?

Cheers folks

I bought a Chromecast from Amazon and as expected it had the USB cable and adapter. Is it from a third party seller who has a US version or something? If it's a new UK model then it should have the adapter, there isn't a UK SKU without it included.

Yeah says its fulfilled by the rainforest themselves. Its just there is a disclaimer part saying doesnt have power which just seemed odd to me.

Hmmm yeah I see that now - very strange. I would go for it then returns are easy with Amazon if it doesn't have one.

Do you not have a Currys/PC World nearby?

Yeah i just found out they stock them in pcworld, and now tescos. I reckon i will just wander into town today and see if i get lucky. Cheers guys.
