Hi all,

Just looking into backup and file sync solutions. Chronosync has come up a lot to me from various sources so just thought it was worth a post on here to see what people thought?

Main things I want to have backed up are documents/music/pictures from my imac onto an external drive or maybe my has (drobo)

I am also considering having some files synced to my mbp so I have them on the go so to speak which I believe chronosync can also do.

Let me have your thoughts please on this and if you think anything else is worth mentioning then feel free.

A few days ago I took delivery of two 3Tb WD Red drives and two IcyDock enclosures for them and was int he same need of some file syncing software and came across ChronoSync.

I have used it for a few days now in the following scenarios:

1. Used it to do a one time clone of certain data from my internal drive onto one of the new drives (Storage1). Was around 760Gb of data, took a while but it worked flawlessly.

2. I ChronoSync perform a mirrored backup from Storage1 Backup1 every hour.

3. I will sometime soon use another scheduled sync activity to do a mirrored backup of my internal drive to another external drive.

Overall, solid piece of software and will be 100% compatible with Mavericks (confirmed by developer. Great email support too!

I use it too for work, for a secondary offsite backup and also a 2 hour sync, works perfectly and never had any issues or problems with restoring :)

Thanks very much guys. It was recommended to me by a friend who said it was a good solid bit of software with good support and you have both confirmed it so I will give it a try!
