Chuck Yeagers Air Combat

lol yeah used to play it on my 486, must have been about 10- 11 years old. was fun tbh, i just used to play skirmish.

I had this on the C64 - can't say I was overly bothered with it at the time - in fact I may have it in my bucket of games!

I did like Gunship though. For the C64 that was a pretty damn good sim.

Tomahawk on the spectrum, Once you got past that lenslok think that was almost as hard as the game Or Combat Lynx by Durell was it? both cools as.

Then onto Amiga and the hayday of sims, Micropose games too many to mention but Gunship 2000 was ace. Fighter bomber was another good amiga gaem as well.

PC games once i got past Janes USAF it was all just too complex. LOMAC looked amazing and I really wanted to play it but it was just too much to learn.

Combat Lynx was indeed by Durrell. I believe I still have it in it's rather awkwardly shaped box (sort of a big box but plastic). Not a bad game to be honest.

I still mourn the passing of Air Warrior. I spent hours on the scenarios like Pearl Harbor and The battle of Coral Sea. Just watched a few clips on youtube and it made me want to cry.
Wish I'd never read this thread:(
