Hi
Wondering is anyone else having the same issues as me .
Asus 3870x2 with Cat 8.3
Vista 64 SP1
4GB DDR2
Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ
Samsung 245B Monitor
Not a bad spec right ? So , why am I getting really chuggy performance in some parts of COD4 , where its reporting FPS of over 100 but yet when I strafe for example, parts of the map chug and skip frames as if its running at 20FPS.
For example COD4 , Act 3, "No Fighting In The War Room" ,after you come out of the Vents walk into the area where there is water coming down from cieling and 2 dead bodies against the shower wall. Now , face them and strafe left and right . On my system it is really chuggy and looks like its skipping frames .. Walk out of there and into another room and everything appears fine again .
Is that the 3870x2 or is it my monitor (refresh rate) causing this ? It seems to do it in a few games from time to time and I am beggining to think its a flaw with the 3870x2 or Cat's
I have tried different detail levels and it still does it . AA and Antiostropic filtering are both disabled.
Anyone else seeing that ?
tks
Martin
