After a long and bitter argument with a CentOS installation, I managed to get it to cifs mount an old Windows 98 partition. The problem is that I can not then share out the share...
I have a directory on my CentOS box shared and have mounted the windows share on a directory within the share. Despite the fact that I can browse the share from Linux (so I'm sure that it's definitely mounted), when other windows machines browse the CentOS' share, the folder I'm using as a mount point becomes seen as a file as soon as I mount the windows share.
The options I had with my cifs mount of the windows share were:
-o guest,servern=UTILITY,uid=99,rw
Any suggestions?
