Cinebench R20 in this weather

Running the above, I'm getting 82 Celsius on a 3700x using a Dark Rock Pro 4.

I'm thinking this is tolerable given the temperatures, it's been on idling all day and it's still 29 Celsius outside.

Interested in other opinions / temps.

It's a full tower case with 9 x PWM 120mm fans, 4 intakes and 5 exhaust, although 3 of those are in the roof and I don't expect they do that much. It normally topped out at 73 Celsius during cooler weather a week ago, so i'm thinking 82 in this weather is probably about right.

Idle is about the same as yours, 42-43 Celsius. This was an all core Cinebench run but only a single pass.

Yeah, you're right. Someone air cooling a 3700x right now would be the best person to provide that info. But your answers give me a bit of an idea :)

I'm new to this Ryzen game, so not sure what to expect. I've learned a lot about them, but interested in what others are finding now. It's 9pm and still 24 Celsius out there :eek:

Your place must be even hotter than mine, it's actually cooling off a little in Manchester tonight. But I'm glad I tested this chip while it was such warm weather, it seems to have passed that test.

Yeah, this is where I'm at, it went to 73c in the weather that came before the heat. And again, full tower case with lots of fans and airflow.

I'm not brave enough to do any form of water cooling. But I also like the industrial look of a big air cooler.

It seemed ideal weather to see how it performs under extreme conditions :D

Just ran it now, it's still a warm summer evening but a pleasant one because there's actual air, my window is wide open still at 1.50am. 75c this time, so I'm coming to the conclusion that these temperatures are okay.
