I went to the cinema on my own on a midweek afternoon for the first time ever earlier this year when I was working in Leicester and found myself at a completely loose end one afternoon. I watched Dunkirk but I think it cost me around nine quid.

It'll depend where you are and what cinemas you have access to, the main chains don't offer a huge discount for daytime showings or 'early bird' bookings.
