Cinema seating

This thread crops up on Mumsnet AIBU as well from time to time :D

For me, about 6 rows from the front, somewhere in the middle. Visually impaired. Only got sight in 1 eye, therefore 2D screen only.

Being a limitless user I always book premier seating it costs £1.50 bargain.

However if I was booking always far right or left corner with no seats in front.

Showcase Cinema De Lux seats are brilliant. Massive Armchairs which recline and go up/down so you can lie back full stretch and also you dont get someones bald head in front either or someone with big hair as they have positioned them higher on each row and you dont pay extra for them as ALL the seats are like this.
Just costs you £15 for popcorn.

I work in the industry, most techies/projectionists say this. For me it's never close enough to the screen though.

I'm a mixer for films and trailers.. 2/3 is the perfect spot for me but it does depend on the rake. If 2/3 way back seats me above the horn of the screen speakers i can't deal with it and have to seat lower.

5.8 inches is quite small, you won't be seeing anything no matter your seat.

Made me screw my face up trying not to laugh in the office. Bravo! :D

@OP - usually I sit in the middle towards the back. Or if I see that the premium fancy seats haven't been taken by the time the movie begins I snap them up.

I always sit at the back. I'm 6'4" and can't sit perfectly still for 2 hours so don't want to annoy people behind me.

This problem has been solved somewhat at Showcase with the larger tiered seating.

Middle middle for me. Though I am tempted to try very front if it's in a large screen, or at least a few rows back.
