Cinema VR Program

Can anyone recommend any program for playing films/videos in a virtual cinema screen?

I've looked at Virtual Desktop which seems to have mostly good reviews on Steam and have BigScreen Beta installed but have had trouble getting that running. At first it wouldn't even start because I had Windows 7 installed and it needs 8.1 or above, so I finally bit the bullet and installed Windows 10. But then it says I didn't have any compatible hardware even though my Vive was plugged in and working with other games.

I have been using this:

It gave me slightly better results with SBS 3d and is a stripped down player with less going on in the background. You can change the positon and curve the screen too.

Virtual Desktop works well IMO. Watched a whole film in it recently.

For the month I had a Vive I preferred Bigscreen but for 3D films specifically Virtual Desktop worked better.

I managed to get Big Screen working, had to launch it from within SteamVR. Played around with it a bit and enjoyed it. Being able to change the size and the shape of the screen is nice. Also the setting of different rooms within a massive house is nice, I can see future possibilities of customising your space to how you want it.

I'm tempting to give Virtual Desktop a try but the cost is putting me off a little with the mixed reviews it has.
