Im doing a very basic config on a Cisco 1720 which im learning on, basically the router has been reset. Im logging in, changing the hostname from Router to Morandarouter1, enabling the secret password, then I use the
"copy running-config startup-config" command, this copies over the config to the startup config, I confirm this by then running "show startup-config" I can see the changes I have made, I then proceed to re-boot the router, when the router comes back up, it has reverted back to "Router" and no password.
Any ideas why it keeps doing this ?? Im following the official Cisco user guide on this one.
