CISCO 857 +SDM Hangs

Hi All,

I am trying to configure a cisco 857 router using SDM. I run through the first time config, which goes OK until i hit the "finish" button. Once pressed the SDM Wizard hangs, and doesn't seem to complete. Anyone seen this before?

Does the SDM software not like IE7 or my java version (1.5.0ish)?

It works for me with IE7 and Java ver. 1.5.0 if that helps.

Strange, maybe it takes its time when you hit "finish", or does it?

There is a short pause but nothing major.

Oh make sure there are no popup blockers, a new window will launch.

Haha, it turns out that when using the SDM you make some changes and apply them, it applies them to the running config and NOT the saved config, so as a result when you restart the router it reverts back to the defaults. Weak.

I therefore had to "write mem" on my hyperterm session to resolve it.

And why oh why do they invert the subnet mask on these dsl routers. Couldn't they have just kept the same format as the pix (and everyone else)?
